All children and youth are welcome in church for worship.  Younger children (1st grade and younger) are dismissed to Millard Halll after the children’s message for Children’s time.  Wednesday Night Downtown will resume on September 13.

Sunday, August 20 will be the Blessing of the Backpacks during worship.

Along with blessing our backpacks we will also be holding a backpack drive for Kellom school with a goal of supplying them with 50 backpacks which we will be blessed that morning.

Children & Youth

Our nursery provides childcare in a loving, nurturing environment for infants through two-year-olds. The nursery located in Millard Hall, our education building, is open from each Sunday from 8:45 a.m. to the end of worship.  For additional information, please contact Pastor Jenni at (402) 345-5383 or jblake@fpcomaha.org.

All children and youth are welcome in the Sanctuary for worship. Younger children (2nd grade and younger) may return to Millard Hall after the Children’s Message for Children’s Church.  Those younger children will be escorted to Millard Hall.  Following worship, parents are to promptly pick up their children from Millard Hall. 

We offer a variety of age graded classes on Sunday mornings. These classes begin at 9:00 a.m.  You will find classes for Preschool /Kindergarten; Grades 1st -3rd; Grades 4th -7th; and Grades 8th -12th

Adult Classes

We offer two classes for adults both starting at 9:00 a.m.   Tuesday Morning @10 will be the study of Esther, who led a very uncertain life.  Join us for one of these classes.  Just come.  You don’t need to have a wealth of knowledge about the Bible.  Just come, relax, and learn.

Mid-Week

Wednesday Night Downtown is our midweek education program for all ages during the school year starting in September through April from 5:45 – 8:00p.m.

We begin with a time of fellowship around the table with dinner in Knox Hall at 5:45 p.m.  At 6:15 p.m. Children’s Choir begins in Millard Hall.  At 6:30 p.m. the Youth Group gathers upstairs in Millard Hall and an Adult Bible Study begins in Knox Hall.

Summer

Vacation Bible School is held every summer for one week in the month of June. Our VBS adventure filled week includes Bible story, singing, arts and crafts, games, and treats begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 noon. We invite all children age 4-completed 5th grade to join us for this fun packed week. Make plans to join us as we become Galactic Starveyors searching the visible to discover the invisible! During this year’s VBS we will scan the skies and explore God’s Word to discover how God created us to be all that we can be. We will discover the God of the universe! Will you explore with us?  First Presbyterian Church will be holding Vacation Bible School this summer, June 12 – 16.  Make plans to join us!

 

Calvin Crest summer camp information is now available.  Summer camps offer children and youth opportunities to grow spiritually, physically, and emotionally in a spiritually safe environment. Studies over the last 20 years show that over half of the youth and adults who participate at camps, conferences and retreats at places like Calvin Crest have a singular spiritual growth experience they remember for the rest of their lives. Scholarships are available please talk with Pastor Jenni for more information.

Keep this information about Calvin Crest since it  is a year around camp, conference, and retreat center located on 250 acres overlooking the Platte River near Fremont.
