Cost: $25.00/person.\nThe First Presbyterian Church Health Ministry has scheduled a training class for anyone interested in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator).\nThe amount due of $25.00 is less than half of the normal fee charged\, but the Health Ministry budget will help to cover the remaining costs.\nWHO IS THIS CLASS DESIGNED FOR?\nUshers\, greeters\, committee chairs\, VBS volunteers\, child care workers\, baby sitters…anyone who regularly attends events where people of all ages are gathered\, are encouraged to take this training class.\nWhen emergencies occur\, knowledge of CPR and use of the AED may mean the difference between life and death.\nPaid reservations will be due no later than after worship on Sunday\, September 18th. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \nSave the date of September 2\, 2016 for the First Presbyterian Church NITE OWL Walk through the Hitchcock Wetlands Learning Center for a guided hike through the woods in search of owls.  The evening begins with dinner at Sortino’s at 78th and L Streets at 5:45 pm.  Everyone is responsible for paying their own food bill. Then we travel to the Hitchcock Wetlands Learning Center.  The owl hike will be from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.   After a brief presentation by the Fontenelle Forest guide at 7:30 pm\, we will begin our walk where the chances of finding and seeing owls in the woods are very good.   The trails are flat and handicapped accessible.  Please bring a flashlight.  Parking is available in the Gifford Farm Parking lot right across the road from the Wetlands Center.  The price for the guided hike is $9.50 for adults and $7.50 for children 2-17.  Members of Fontenelle Forest are free.  Best directions to Hitchcock Learning Center are:  13th Street South to Bellevue Blvd: left on Bellevue Blvd about a mile to Camp Gifford Road. (You go past the main Fontenelle Forest Nature Center Building). Turn left on Gifford Road and follow all the way to Gifford Farm/Hitchcock Wetlands Learning Center.

DESCRIPTION:Bruning Sculpture\, Hot Shops Pottery\, and Crystal Forge make up the very heart of the Hot Shops Art Center\, with the molten nature of their work giving it its “hot” name. It also houses over 80 studio artists\, as well as four gallery spaces in the building complex located in downtown Omaha\, just north of the Century Link Center at the corner of 13th and Nicholas. If interested in attending this activity\, contact the church at 402 345-5383. \n  \nPresbyterians United for Fun\, otherwise known as PUFF\, are just as our name suggests a group of people who get together to have fun adventures.
