DESCRIPTION:Beginning Sunday June 5 –July 3 we are offering a five week study based on the book Love Does by Bob Goff.  Here is a little introduction: \n“Tapping into love requires a different skill set than what it takes to memorize answers for a test or to follow all the traffic laws so you don’t get a ticket.  This isn’t a love you can earn\, buy\, or win.  It’s something better.  Something bigger. And it just might be something you discover more about by “doing stuff” too. \nThat’s what this study is all about. \nLove does is a five-week experiment in doing the love of God.  Each session will explore a different aspect of God’s active love through the teachings and stories of Bob Goff. There will be an opening question\, a short Bible study\, and then a video featuring Bob.  However\, the real action comes after the video when you dig into each topic in a guided small group time.  Here’s where the rubber meets the road and you see how God’s love gets practical as you are invited to join in it too.  It’s going to be great. If you’ve lost a spouse\, child\, family member\, or friend\, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare may be just what you need.  GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving loss of someone close. \nOur Griefshare group continues to meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in South Calvin beginning January 8.  New participants are always welcome to join the conversation.  If you or someone you know would like to be a part of this support group please talk with Pastor Jenni\, Leanne Johnson or call the church office.

If you do\, don’t miss out on Youth Ministry’s annual “Trunk-or-Treat” event for our itty-bitty kids through elementary-aged youth. \nWhen: Sunday\, October 27th @ 4:30pm \nWhere: 35th Street and back Parking lot \nBring your kids\, grandkids\, neighbors and friends to Millard Hall for an afternoon of fun. Dress them in their favorite costumes. Kids will enjoy fall-themed games and snacks before our “trunk-or-treat”. What does this involve? \nP.S. wee need trunks!  Parents\, grandparents\, and any member of the church can participate in the “Trunk-or-Treat”! Just decorate the trunk of your car and park in designated spots. When the kids are finished with activities\, they will go trunk-to-trunk for treats or small prizes. The more trunks we have the more exciting for the kids. What a great way to have fellowship with all ages in our church!
