2017 Christmas Eve Lessons

*WELCOME Dr. Jonathan Sloan

*CALL TO WORSHIP
Jesus is the Light of the World.
News of His birth began with a star of unimaginable brightness!
Jesus is the Son of God.
Born of a virgin, fully man yet fully God.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
A guide and protector, like those called to witness His magnificent birth.
The Savior of the World was named Jesus at birth; yet He is many things
to many people: Leader, Friend, Savior, Light in the darkness!
Let us worship God!

Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright, Round yon virgin mother
and child! Holy Infant, so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in
heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight, Glories stream from
heaven afar. Heavenly hosts sing “Alleluia; Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.”

Silent night, holy night! Son of God, love’s pure light. Radiant beams from
Thy holy face. With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.

Silent night, holy night! Wondrous star, lend thy light; With the angels let us
sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is
born.
