*The Greeting and Welcoming of One Another
(There are no strangers in God’s House, just friends we have not yet met.
Greet your neighbor in Christian love and let them know that you’re glad to see them!)
*Praise Hymn “Forever”
*Call to Worship (Responsive)
Leader: We gather this morning to be enlightened,
People: to learn from the Word and from each other!
Leader: We come to be strengthened;
People: to gain power in our frailty.
Leader: Alone we are vulnerable, but the Lord draws us together to build up ourselves
and each other through His power and grace.
All: Let us worship God!
*Hymn “Agnus Dei”
*Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Dear Lord, often our pride prevents us from accepting our weaknesses. We would rather win at all costs than to admit we have fallen short of our goals. We blame others for our deficiencies. We pretend that the end justifies the means, even if we must cheat or hurt others. Help us to see that pride creates a wedge between us and You. Show us that winning means so much less in this life than in the next. Remind us that we are not perfect and only disappoint You when we fail to act humbly with regard to others. Be with us as we discover that our weaknesses are another path to being strengthened by You…(Silent time of prayer)
*Assurance of Pardon
Leader: Jesus uses His power and His grace to lead us in our confusion, to love us in our indifference and to forgive us in our offenses.
All: Thanks be to God!
* The Gloria Patri – Hymn Tune, 581
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Message “All I Need” Dr. Jennifer Blake
1 It is necessary to boast; nothing is to be gained by it, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I know a person in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know; God knows. 3 And I know that such a person—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know; God knows— 4 was caught up into Paradise and heard things that are not to be told, that no mortal is permitted to repeat. 5 On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses. 6 But if I wish to boast, I will not be a fool, for I will be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think better of me than what is seen in me or heard from me, 7 even considering the exceptional character of the revelations. Therefore, to keep me from being too elated, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being too elated. 8 Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, 9 but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
*Hymn #519 “You Are My All in All”
WE SEAL AND RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD
*The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen

Eternal God, thank you for coming to us in Jesus Christ. Renew in us faith and hope that we may welcome Christ to rule our thoughts and claim our love, as Lord of lords and King of kings through Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
