*Praise Hymn “All Creatures of Our God and King”
*Call to Worship AJ Baratta
Leader: What calls us to worship today?
People: The Word of God and the voice of the Lord calls us.
Leader: What brings us to this sanctuary, to this body of Christ?
People: We come as like-minded believers, joined in spirit.
Leader: We all come to faith through many ways, but through only one Lord. He
calls to us and we call out to each other, “Come! I have found the Lord!”
ALL: Let us worship and praise God!
*Praise Hymn ”Come Follow Me”
*Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Dear Lord, many of us grow up surrounded by Your spirit, following the paths of parents and family, and often take You for granted. Others find You during times of crises, listening for answers to cries of despair and then forget You until the next need arises. Some see You in the hearts of friends and neighbors and desire to know more; yet are too embarrassed to ask questions. Others wait for an invitation to see Your glory but are ignored by timid believers. Give us the courage to be bold to follow and to lead; to recognize Your call and then to reach out to others so all may know Your glory…(Silent time of prayer)
*Assurance of Pardon
Leader: Through a handful of people, the name of Jesus was spread far and wide;
so that from east to west, His forgiveness and mercy covers all believers.
ALL: Thanks be to God!
* The Gloria Patri – Hymn Tune, 581
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The First Disciples of Jesus
35 The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, “Look, here is the Lamb of God!” 37 The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. 38 When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39 He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon. 40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated Anointed). 42 He brought Simon to Jesus, who looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You are to be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).
Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael
43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him about whom Moses in the law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus son of Joseph from Nazareth.”
