*The Greeting and Welcoming of One Another
(There are no strangers in God’s House, just friends we have not yet met.
Greet your neighbor with Christian love and let them know that you’re glad to see them!)
Praise Hymn “Waiting Here for You”
*Call to Worship
Leader: As we gather this morning, let us come without worry;
People: let us come confident in the promises of the Lord.
Leader: We will pray for things we need,
People: and give thanks for blessings received!
Leader: Jesus very clearly tells us not to worry; He assures us that He is in
control. Let us look with joy and certainty to the fulfillment of His
promises!
ALL: Let us worship and praise God!
*Hymn ”Our God”
*Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Dear Lord, too often we go to bed carrying the worries and fears of the day with us, allowing them to weigh heavily upon our hearts and minds. We awaken, still burdened and doubtful that our problems will be solved. We move through the day with downcast eyes and sullen moods, unaware of the glories You send to us daily. Help us to rest in Your assurances. Remind us to place our cares onto Your strong shoulders. Prepare our minds and hearts to receive Your grace. Equip us to always be receptive and appreciative of the gifts You bountifully give us …(Silent time of prayer)
*Assurance of Pardon
Leader: Be not afraid, do not worry! No matter what we may fear, God gave us
Jesus to carry our burdens and grant us mercy and forgiveness.
ALL: Thanks be to God!
* The Gloria Patri – Hymn Tune, 581
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Message “Growing in Faith: Christian Submission” Dr. Sloan
22 He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest?

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the
power and the glory, forever. Amen.
