*The Greeting and Welcoming of One Another

(There are no strangers in God’s House, just friends we have not yet met.

Greet your neighbor with Christian love and let them know that you’re glad to see them!)

*Praise Hymn                              “God Is On the Move”                                            T Wood

*Call to Worship

Leader:     We gather this morning to be filled with the Holy Spirit;

People:    to be fed spiritually!

Leader:     God promises that our needs will be fulfilled;

People:    we need not worry about food, nor drink.

Leader:     God provides for us, as we in turn provide for others.  We join together

this morning to be the hands and feet of God, receiving that we may in

turn give.

ALL:        Let us worship God!

*Hymn                                        “Blessed Assurance”

*Prayer of Confession (Unison)

Dear Lord, we know there are people in need, but rather than giving of our excesses we hoard them.  Every day we witness those who are unable to provide for themselves, but turn a deaf ear to their pleas for help.  We make excuses, for our own shortcomings, but refuse to look with the same compassion towards others.  Help us to recognize the needs of others, to show mercy, and unselfishly help others as You have commanded us to do.…(Silent time of prayer)

*Assurance of Pardon

Leader:     Jesus teaches us to feed the hungry, help the helpless and be kind to those

who can’t reciprocate.  He forgives us over and over again granting us

mercy, even though we don’t deserve it.

ALL:          Thanks be to God!

* The Gloria Patri – Hymn Tune, 581

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen.

Message              “Table Grace”           Matt Weber

Matthew 25:35-40 The Message (MSG)

34-36 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

37-40 “Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer (Unison)

        Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come,

       thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily

       bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not

       into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom and the

       power and the glory, forever. Amen.
