*Call to Worship
No matter how Jesus called you to Him this morning, you are here.
Whether called directly through Him, or by invitation from another;
He called you and you are in His presence.
No matter what you did before, or who you were before; you are now His.
Jesus knows us and pursues us long before we come to know Him. He knows our abilities and our weaknesses but calls us to come and follow Him.
Let us worship God!

*Prayer of Confession
Dear Lord, we like to think that we found You, that we somehow figured out the way into Your inner circle: maybe we give to the poor; maybe we attend Bible Study; maybe we treat others with love and respect. The truth is, that even knowing the most evil thoughts we have, the worst sins we have committed or will commit, You know us and choose us anyway. You call us an when we respond, our eyes are opened. We will then see what to leave behind and what to take with us we move forward. Help us to recognize Your voice and to let go of the non-truths and prejudices that keep us from following You with our hearts and souls…

*Assurance of Pardon
Every time we stand firm in the Word, every time we suffer becasue of our faith, we follow Jesus to the cross. He calls us there to receive the healing, mercy and forgiveness He promissed to all believers.
Thanks be to God!

John 1:43-51 (NRSV)

Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael
43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him about whom Moses in the law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus son of Joseph from Nazareth.” 46 Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” 47 When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, “Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael asked him, “Where did you get to know me?” Jesus answered, “I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you.” 49 Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And he said to him, “Very truly, I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
