Call to Worship AJ Baratta
Leader: We gather this morning as people seeking grace;
People: hoping to receive it; and wanting to give it.
Leader: Whether or not we are here to ask for mercy,
People: merely coming into His presence brings us to it.
Leader: God sees our needs and empowers Jesus to provide for them. When we
seek direction, we are shown the way to grace.
ALL: Let us worship God!
*Hymn “Glory” M Maher
*Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Dear Lord, we too often stay away from You for fear of not being good enough. We have been conditioned to hide our flaws. We are quick to judge others who seem less worthy than we are when they either step forward or are called ahead of us. Embrace us as we open ourselves to You, confident in Your acceptance. Give us compassion to be happy for the mercy You give to others. Help us to see that Your grace, given freely to all, does not make us less, it demonstrates that You are more!.…(Silent time of prayer)
*Assurance of Pardon
Leader: God sent Jesus to show us the way. Jesus tells us He is the way. His love, mercy and forgiveness is the graceful way.
ALL: Thanks be to God!
*The Gloria Patri – Hymn Tune, 581
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman
10 Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. 11 And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” 13 When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. 14 But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” 15 But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? 16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” 17 When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
