9:00 am – 10:00 am The Present Word “God’s World and God’s People”
In Genesis, the book of beginnings, God is revealed as the Creator, Sustainer, Judge, and Redeemer, who brought all things into being. The fall quarter surveys the Book of Genesis in developing sessions on God’s creation of the universe, earth, and people. It also details how God continues to co-labor with sinful humanity in reconciling and re-creating order in all things.
This Sunday morning class meets in Millard Hall at 9:00am.
Women’s Bible Study – Tuesdays, 10:30 am
The Book of Hosea is a deeply personal and passionate love story, yet it’s a difficult story. As an account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare gem: the truest and purest of loves. Hosea, an old-testament prophet, preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. This study of Hosea looks deeply at that message. Together we will be guided to understand, but more especially to apply, the message of the prophet of love. Hosea showers us with hope and points to the coming of the promised Messiah. Come and be amazed by the love of Hosea for his wayward spouse—and more amazed by the unfailing love of God for us, His wayward people.
Join us Tuesdays at 10:30 in Jenk’s lounge for this 7 week series beginning September 11.
