What To Expect

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Omaha. We are a worshipping body, who love Jesus and focus on our story as reflected in the Bible. We’re a church working to help our neighbors with missions, both here at home and around the world. We invite you to join us for worship, where the dress is casual and we encourage you to explore your story as a child of God. Come and find your place as a part of our story.

Have Children?

Children & Youth

We believe God’s Word plays an integral part in our lives as Christians and we want your child to understand the Bible through age-appropriate lessons. We strive to make God’s Word come to life in all our various classes and programs across age groups.

Our age-appropriate Sunday morning classes include a Bible story, arts and crafts, and music. Classes for all ages are held at 9:00 a.m. in Millard Hall. Our classes are grouped as follows:

  • Preschool and Kindergarten
  • 1st – 3rd Grade
  • 4th – 8th Grade
  • 9th – 12th grade

Nursery Care

Your very young one receives care at First Presbyterian in a loving, nurturing environment. The nursery care is for infants through two-year-olds and is provided Sunday mornings from 8:45 am until 11:45 am or until the worship service is over. The nursery is located in Millard Hall.

Learn More About First Presbyterian Church

Do you have time after worship to visit? Join us in Calvin Hall, to the right of the sanctuary, for coffee, lemonade, and cookies. We can meet you at the Welcome Center in Calvin Hall so you don’t have to do this alone. Then, if you have time, you can be taken on a tour of the church and Millard Hall, which is the education wing of our church.

If you would like to become more involved at First Presbyterian Church, such as Mission, Bible Study classes, or New Member classes, call 402-345-5383 or email us at  fpcomaha@fpcomaha.org.

Handicap Accessibility

Need help entering the church? There are two areas designated for handicap parking. Accessible parking places are available on Farnam Street in front of our church building and at the back of the church.

Farnam Street:

Proceed west on the sidewalk to the front door of Millard Hall. Turn right and proceed to the button-activated doors. To reach the sanctuary, go east in the portico to the wooden church doors that are also button activated.

Behind First Presbyterian:

An elevator is available for you to get to the sanctuary. A Helping Hand (one of our church members) will greet you at the elevator to assist and direct you to the sanctuary.
