First Presbyterian Church welcomes Dr. Gary Eller
First Presbyterian Church is please to welcome Dr. Gary Eller as our Pastor. Gary has earned an M.A. and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University; an M. Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary; and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Gary is a theological educator in both seminary and university settings. For 14 years, he was president of the Omaha Presbyterian Seminary Foundation. He is an ordained Presbyterian Church (USA) minister with decades of experience in congregations along with governing body responsibility at the local, regional, and national levels. He serves on the boards of civic and professional organizations In Omaha and denominationally.
His background includes training and experience in non-profit fundraising for religious organizations, interim ministry, strategic planning, conflict management, congregational consulting, and clergy coaching.
Gary and his wife, Sharon, are the parents of adult children and four grandchildren. For relaxation, he enjoys time with his family and friends, college and professional sports, film, reading, travel, music, and writing.
